Diving Contractors

Being a commercial diver is a very challenging job. You need to be in the right state of mind, always thinking ahead, and lucky. Yes I said lucky. Because in this business you have to rely on others keep you safe. As well as yourself. Good communication, dive umbilical, and hands/feet placement is key to every successful dive. This what Elite Diving and Salvage follows on every job. At nineteen I started this journey. I can still remember my first dive. It was a night dive we were on a Lift-boat. The deck twenty foot above the water. Some guys on deck tied a block of cheese to my bailout bottle without my knowledge. Pretty funny I know! But when I made that jump hitting the water and reached bottom for the first time that was it. Didn't matter if fish were attacking the cheese, or being in the dark on the oceans bottom with just a light. I was hooked on diving, and that this is what I wanted to do. Now at thirty-four I have made so many dives I can't even count. I've been hit by sharks, had some close calls, and worked in complete darkness. Commercial diving is not just a trade it's a lifestyle, a sacrifice, and for most a very hard road to follow. Diving contractors should know and appreciate these workers. To pass on the knowledge so we can all make it off bottom safe and sound.
